EPL Match-Day 33 Preview

As each week passes by the English Premier League keeps on getting better and better. With the relegation zone teams battling it out for survival and the bottom half of the table in points looks neck and neck and still unsure which three teams would be relegated at end of the season. Every week there are some major upsets or brilliant goals being scored or crucial mistakes being made, can this week deliver the same?. Let's take a look at teams playing this week and their chances and how important these matches are for some teams.

With 4 matches being played in at the same time on Saturday. The match between Crystal Palace and West Brom. One team in a splendid run of form and the other in poor form. Crystal Palace having won two games on the trot, beating the likes of Sunderland and Manchester City, Alan Pardew and his confident side will be looking to add on their fine run of form for a third straight victory against the Baggies who look deflated. Having lost their last two to relegation threatened opponents. Losing the game against Leicester narrowly and getting trounced by QPR, This away fixture is going to be tough for Tony Pulis's side. With recent emphatic performances by Crystal palace, the key players to watch out for in the Palace side would be Yannick Bolasie who scored a sensational 11 minute second half hatrick and Glen Murray who has scored in the last two games. The last time these two sides met back in October it was a scored 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace surrendering a two goal lead.

The Fixture between Everton and Burnley, with the Everton side having nothing to play it's just how many points they can accumulate till the end of the season, but for Sean Dyche and his men it's a different story, fighting for survival in the league and having lost to Arsenal at home last week, but his side played well and was unfortunate not to get anything out of that game. Burnley sitting in 19th with two points behind 17th place Hull City, Sean Dyche believes his side can still survive the drop to the championship. But it is going to be a tough game for the Clarets having lost their last two away games and Everton putting in some wins and draws in recent weeks, The Toffees haven't lost a league game since  March 4th. The last time these two sides met in October Everton ran out comfortable winners with Lukaku getting a brace and looks to return to the Everton side this week after having being sidelined with injury. Burnley and Sean Dyche will be looking for their talisman  Danny Ings to get back to scoring ways.

The Match between Leicester and Swansea City like the the Everton and Burnley fixture with one team playing to fight survival and the other just to finish as high up as  they can in the table. The Foxes in their recent displays have put up inspiring performance coming from behind to pick up vital three points. The Swans however failed to surpass the overall points in the EPL which was set by Brendan Rodgers they are level in points with the record, having only gotten a point in their last match against Everton. Leicester sit in last place but three points behind 17th place Hull City and also with a game in hand. Nigel Pearson and his side will be looking to cash in and get three points in their games at home. The Foxes are a strong outfit at home and with Cambiasso their leader in midfield with years of experience is spreading his confidence across the entire Leicester outfit with his sublime displays in recent weeks. The Swans on the other will be looking this week to break the record set by their previous manager and also see how many points they can achieve this season  and their away record is good having won two out of their last three away matches. The last time these two sides met the Swans secured a comfortable 2-0 win at home with a brace from Bony. But the key player to watch for Leicester is Gomis who has been in good touch.

The Fixture between Stoke and Southampton with one side playing for nothing and the other for a place in Europe next season, more pressure will be on the Saints to secure the three points. With Stoke securing a draw at the dying embers of the game against West Ham, Arnautovic on the score sheet in the 95th minute to save the Potter's blushes. The Saints however ran out comfortable winners at home against Hull City with Pelle getting on the score sheet which would be positive news for the Saints as well as for him who ended his long run of games without scoring. The last time these two sides met Pelle scored a match winning brace and he would be the key player and also Schneiderlin for Stoke City to worry about.

We end the the English League fixture on Saturday with a bang with leaders Chelsea taking on a resurgent and reformed Manchester United side. Apart from bragging rights. The spotlight will be on the Coaches Mourinho and Van Gaal the student and his master, but most importantly the media would be buzzing about Juan Mata's reutrn to Stamford Bridge for the first time after being sold to Manchester United in January Last Year by Chelsea. The Player will be looking for revenge. Manchester United look as the more confident side having thrashed rivals City last week sublime displays by Young, Feilaini and Mata the players Chelsea need to watch out for including United skipper Rooney who seems to be enjoying playing at his preferred role. and Chelsea have been getting the victories no doubt but unconvincingly, this is mark of champions to get victories even when your side is not playing at their best. With United winning their last six games in a row and Chelsea in their last six games winning four and drawing two. Chelsea at the Bridge are a formidable side they hardly lose. Normally at the big games Jose Mourinho is known to "Park the Bus" and capitalize on the counter attack, but this weekend, I doubt the Chelsea boss will play that way he will be looking for his side to play their normal game, to take the match to their opponents. With Eden Hazard by far Chelsea's best player this season United have to contain him and also with the Serbian rock Matic who has inspirational for the Chelsea side this season and Willian Players for Manchester United to watch out for. The past few meetings at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Manchester United has seen Chelsea having the Upper hand on the Red Devils. But with most of Chelsea's Foward line being injured, Costa out and Remy unsure they will have rely on the experienced Didier Drogba to lead the front line. This fixture never disappoints supporters and football fans. The last time these two sides encountered each other it was a thrilling game with Robin Van Persie scoring at the dying depths of the game to secure a point for the Red Devils. With United finding some momentum in their line-up, i doubt Van Gaal would change the winning formula even though Van Persie is startinng to train for United after having recovered from and injury, Positive news for United fans. Van Persie has always enjoyed scoring against Chelsea. This is going to be a cracker of a game.

We kick start the Premier League on Sunday with a match between Manchester City and West Ham. Manchester City will be looking to bounce back after their thrashing in the Manchester Derby last week, and playing at home they are strong and will looking to get the three points and keep the pressure on third place United and second place Arsenal having squandered their title hopes with their recent poor performances. Pellegrini will be looking for a win as he is under pressure on securing his job next season and with Dortmund Coach Jurgen Klopp announcing his exit form the club at the end of the season more pressure will be on Pellegrini now to prove himself worthy to still be the Citizens boss next season. West Ham on the other hand will be looking to get something out of this game, with nothing to play for them. The last time these two sides me Sakho was instrumental in seeing off the City side with his winning goal.

The other fixture on Sunday is between Newcastle and Tottenham, Both teams who have been disappointing in their recent games. With Newcastle losing to Liverpool and rivals Sunderland and with Spurs losing to former Tottenham boss Sherwood's Villa side and drawing against relegation-threatened side Burnley. With Harry Kane being non existent in the last two games for Spurs he has reutrn to his scoring ways. Newcastle have to take advantage of the home fixture and get something with the fans lashing out their frustrations this week on their side's recent performances saying that "we lose every week it's nothing new". Both teams need a win. The last time these two sides met Tottenham gave Newcastle a thrashing winning 4-0.

Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool will be play later on in the week as they have their Semi final FA cup matches to be played this weekend . Liverpool will take on Hull City on the 28th of April and Arsenal will take on Sunderland on the 21st of May.
