Football Derby Matches

Derby matches it's those games in a calender year of any league which not only creates buzz, Egos clash supporters are extra riled up on this day, sometimes supporters passion gets so extreme it can lead to physical confrontations between the parties. But having said that it's these games that elevates the game of Football to another level. It's not just the fans who get worked up, it's gets the players also worked up. the pitch is turned into a war zone , where losing is not an option for both these teams as lot of pride hangs in the balance. It's much more than the three points. In short it's bragging rights.

Over the years i have witnessed some great derby matches over the television i know it does not give give you the exact feeling and emotion of actually being in the stadium, but sitting at home or with friends and watching it through the telly still gets me worked up for these games, when a team of whom i support scores in those derby games i am filled with emotions which truly cannot be expressed I'm sure all you fans out there know what i am saying.

These rivalries have been going on for ages so over the years have not only been special to the local fans of the regions, this rivalry is spread to all it's world wide fans so you can imagine how important it is to attain those bragging rights. these are games where emotions run high between players and supporters. These are those games in the calender which could make or break your team's chances to win silverware.

For me the derby that gets me all rallied and fired up is the Manchester United and Liverpool fixture, It's one game were my friends who are Liverpool supporters turn foes, passion and emotions run high every foul and every goal in this match gets me going, but there are many derbies apart from the Manchester United and Liverpool match, We have the El Classico , The Milan Derby , Manchester Derby, Merseyside Derby. In India the Kolkatta  Derby between East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Fc. These are not your regular football matches it;s more than that i assure you. regions are divided for a couple of hours.

Well these are those football matches you simply miss. It is overheated , fast and furious, emotions are at an all time high but most importantly it's about being better than your bitter rival and getting a victory on them which make it's all the more sweeter between the supporters and players to savour.

And this week we have two Incredible derbies which is a must watch, The El Classico and the Liverpool Manchester United derby. As for me i can't wait for these two matches to take place all i know is that in those 90 minutes my emotions is going to be like a roller coaster ride.
