We kick start things off this week with the match between Swansea and Everton. Both teams just trying to finish as high up they can in the table. With Both teams getting the three points last week, with Everton earning a hard laboured three points a relief for Roberto Martinez. Gary Monk would be pleased with his side's performances in the last few games and would be looking to grab another three points. With Everton picking up three wins in a row, both teams seem to be in good touch. A win for the Swans would see them achieve a new all time points record in the EPL, a draw however would equal the earlier points record they achieved previously in the EPL. In their last meeting both teams played out a goalless draw.
The other fixture is between seventh place Southampton and relegation-threatened Hull City. With Hull City just two points safe from the drop zone sitting in seventeenth place this would be a important game for the tigers although it will be tough as they face the Saints who are still fighting for a place in Europe next season and having lost to Everton last week, Ronald Koeman's side would be looking to make things right at home by picking up the three points. However Steve Bruce would be looking for his side to cause an upset and most importantly pick up the three points so that they survive relegation. The last time these two sides met Southampton picked up the three points with Victor Wanyama scoring and audacious 40 yarder. From then and now the stakes are much more higher for these clubs.
The Fixture between Sunderland and Crystal Palace with both team picking up three points last week. With Sunderland picking up bragging rights and most importantly three points against their rivals Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear Derby moving them out of the drop zone to fifteenth place a wonderful strike from Jermaine Defoe to see off his rivals and the first win for new Sunderland Coach Dick Advocaat. Crystal Palace last match pulled of a major upset by defeating Manchester City at home and possibly denting their title hopes this season a superb perfromance by Palace striker Glen Murray last match and a sublime free kick from Jason Puncheon was enough to see of City. With Both teams looking good in confidence it is going to be an interesting game. Sunderland may have won last week but by all means they are not safe from relegation so they have got a reason to keeping fighting as far as Alan Pardew's is concerned he would want to finish as high up as possible in the table. Last team these two sides met Sunderland picked up the three points with Steven Fletcher scoring a brace.
The Fixture between Tottenham and Aston Villa a return for former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood. With Both teams putting up disappointing performances last week. Tim Sherwood would be looking for revenge when he comes back to White Hart Lane, although with Villa striker Christian Benteke scoring his first hatrick for Villa last week, the team made a lost of defensive errors against QPR last match, Sherwood would have been disappointed that his side did not pick up the three points. And with every match being crucial this stage it would be sweet revenge for Sherwood if his side picked up three points at White Hart Lane. Tottenham however would be disappointed with their last outing with both European contenders Liverpool and Southampton losing, it was a perfect chance for Spurs to overtake them in the League and still remain in contention for a European spot but a disappointing game for Harry Kane as he was able to replicate his outstanding form he has been having almost every game, guess with Pochettino making him captain it may have affected his game a bit, not sure. With both teams looking to bounce back from last week performances a win for either of these sides would be vital for them in their movement in the table. The last meeting between these two side at Villa Park saw Tottenham edging out a victory against Villa.
The Fixture between West Brom and Leicester City, more emphasis will be laid on Leicester City as they picked up a win at home against West Ham and still giving themselves hope to avoid relegation. Nigel Pearson would be expecting the same kind of performance for his side this week also. West Brom However got humiliated at home against QPR last week. Tony Pulis would have been flabbergasted with his side's dismal performance last week but would be looking to make amends with relegation-threatened Leicester City. This is going to be a cracker of a fixture with every game going forward Leicester City have to give their everything if they want to survive. West Brom however would just be looking to move past that defeat and just secure three points and finish the season strong. The last meeting between these two sides saw West Brom snatching the three points-an own goal from Cambiasso.
The Fixture between West Ham and Stoke City with both teams losing last week and with both also equal on points sitting in ninth and tenth place both teams would be looking for three points and finishing above each other. Mark Hughes would have been disappointed with his side not picking up anything against Chelsea last but a positive showing form his side would have made him happy. whereas big Sam would be looking to move on from their performance against the foxes last week and get back to winning ways. The last time these two sides met Stoke won comfortably against the Hammers.
The Last Fixture on Saturday is between Burnley and in form Arsenal. With Arsenal dismantling Liverpool last week and sitting in second 7 points off leaders Chelsea they would looking to extend their winning run with a victory over Burnley, however Burnley at home have caused a few upsets against the big sides and Sean Dyche's men would be looking to create another upset and also keep them fighting for survival in the Premier League. It's going to be a tricky fixture for Arsenal with Burnley playing for Survival we might just witness another major upset?. Arsenal on the other hand have won their last five games and with in form players like Giroud who has scored in last five fixtures , Alexis Sanchez and Ozil, Burnley must remain focused or they could be taken for a ride. The last time these two sides met Arsenal ran out comfortable winners with a three nil win with inform Sanchez scoring a brace.
We kick start the Sunday fixture with the West London Derby, Queens Park Rangers taking on league leaders Chelsea. With QPR collecting four points in their last two games and showing some signs of form . And Chelsea just scraping victories winning matches but in unconvincing fashion. This fixture has always been a tough fixture for Chelsea at Loftus road especially. Having drawn and lost the last two fixtures. And with QPR in their last two performances gaining some belief Chris Ramsey and his side would be looking to cause a major upset and create a shift in the title race and also most importantly for QPR to keep fighting for their survival in the League. With Diego Costa looking to miss the rest of the season through injury there should be no cause for concern as Chelsea have depth in squad and QPR should be wary of the threat of Eden Hazard as his skill could cause lots of problems to the QPR defence, especially with QPR boss Chris Ramsey mentioning his side's defence against the Villa game was poor lot's of school boy errors. This should be an interesting game. The last time these two sides met at Stamford bridge Chelsea edged out a 2-1 victory over their rivals.
We end Sunday with a bang, it's none other than the Manchester Derby. The red and blue of Manchester battling it out for bragging rights. With Both teams where are they are supposed to be in the table with Manchester United in third place and Manchester City in fourth place just a point behind United. This fixture in the recent past has always favoured City with having won the last five derbies, but having said that City's off late away record has been abysmal having lost their last three away fixtures and with Manchester United at home looking formidable having lost only once this season and with Wayne Rooney in top class form this is going to be a tough fixture for City and with Van Gaal this week playing mind games saying City are scared of United, this derby is going to be a cracker with millions of supporters all around the world going to be showing the support for the Manchester Clubs. As far as form is concerned Manchester United have won their last five games in a row and would looking to keep the good form going by beating their bitter rivals and continue to keep themselves in the race for the title challenge. Manchester United have a better record this season against the top four teams picking up 10 points better than Chelsea , City and Arsenal and Liverpool. City on the other would be looking to break their abysmal away performances Jinx and a win for them would be of some to relief to in fire boss Manuel Pelligrini. The Million Dollar question is which side of Manchester would come out on top?. The last time these two sides met City picked up the victory with Aguero scoring the solitary goal.
We end Match day 32 with Newcastle facing out of form Liverpool on Monday. With Both teams having embarrassing defeats the past week. With Liverpool getting demolished by Arsenal and Newcastle losing the Tyne-Wear Derby to Sunderland, both teams would be looking to make amends and pick up the three points. With Liverpool in the past few days having to face a lot of media attention with their performances and the Sterling fiasco, they should put all that behind and focus on getting the three points and still continue to fight for fourth place. Newcastle on the other hand at Anfield have always been poor and this would be a tough fixture for them. In their last five meetings they have lost four and drawn once. A boost for Liverpool with Sturridge set to return to the side. A must win game for the reds if they want to keep their European dream alive. The Last time these two sides met Newcastle picked up the victory with Ayoze Perez scoring the solitary goal.
So, that's the round up of the English Premier League Matchday 32 fixtures. Hope you guys enjoy the cracking fixtures this weekend. I know i certainly will. Looking forward to some surprises. Predictions Anyone?.
