The Ugly side of Football

Yes you read it right the ugly side of football even though it is considered as the beautiful game there are some ugly moments which hamper this name.  As much as it pains me to say this over the years there have been some moments where you just say "not cool" or totally unacceptable.

This ugly moment in the 2006 world cup final between France and Italy to me is one of the most shocking moments in the World Cup. Zidane who i idolise put me in tears because this action cost not only his team but also himself and France the World Cup.

Like this there are many jaw dropping moments which have shocked the world. But what prevailing today in this ugly side of football is racism and FIFA is working hard to eradicate this disease. Many footballers over the years have been subjected to racism and sadly a few of them have indulged in racist behaviour. But i believe this is going to end one day cause i honestly feel Football is the only sport which tackles these vile social issues. Because let's face this sport has bought joy to many around the world and gives hope to many.

Here's a few ugly moments which made me nod my head in disbelief.

1.The hand of God

This moment of  madness by Diego Maradona

in the 1986 World Cup final between England which handed Argentina the World Cup but let's not forget the Dazzling run by him passing the England defence to score a sublime goal.

2.Racist Chelsea Fans after the first leg game between Paris St Germain in the UEFA Champions League denying a Parisian to enter the subway.

3.Brutal death of Jimmy Romero due to fan violence during the Atletico Madrid and  

Deportivo de La Coruña's      

4.Luis Suarez biting Chiellini neck at the 2014 World cup 

qualifying match between Uruguay and Italy . Sadly it's

not the First time Suarez is Doing it. Remember During 

his Liverpool and Ajax Days was handed a ten game ban.

5.Johnny Evans and Pappis Cisse having a spitfest during a Premier league match which resulted in both of them getting a six match ban.

So here are a few moments where the Beautiful game of football takes an Ugly turn. but there are more ugly moments than these five i have listed.
