Harry Edward Kane or better known in the English Premier League as Harry Kane, is he going to be a one hit wonder?, Or is he going be a name in the future where big clubs approach him and beg for his signature to have him on their team?
Well, At this point it anything is possible, seems this lad is talented. After Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney i think England have found a promising striker for their nation. Yes it a bold statement for me to say because he is only 21 but his maturity is what makes him special normally for a 21 year old striker you would think only one thing in his mind to be selfish be very dimensional just score goals but what they lack is,yes they want to score goals but they do not know how to make it happen. It's not just putting the football in between the posts it's much more than that lot of mental and physical skill is required, and that's what this Tottenham Hotspurs striker possesses.
I am not going to talk about his past the clubs that he was loaned to better his skill as a professional footballer, let's dwell in the present the impact he is making in today's footballing world. Initially he was used by Mauricio Pochettino in the Europa League and boy did he make his mark in the seven appearances he made for them he scored 7 goals, making it an easy decision for Pochettino to play in the games which Harry Kane was trying to be his all his life the English Premier League fixtures. He is currently the hottest property in English football scoring 19 goals this term sharing top spoils with Diego Costa in the English league top scorers.
At 21 who would have imagined he would be this good?, I honestly thought he was going to fizz out in couple of months like most young strikers do but boy has he proven me and most people wrong. What impresses me most about this young lad is that his willingness to fight for the ball his never give up attitude is seriously refreshing. You don't find that attitude in many strikers because like most strikers once they lose the ball they just give up i don't know if it their mindset or they just lazy, but Harry Kane is like a bulldog being a nuisance and constantly posing threat to defenders. He may not be the fastest striker around but what he has is body strength he is not like south american strikers who are technically skilled and master dribblers but they just don't have the body strength to go one on one against menacing defenders always looking for cheap fouls unlike Harry Kane who loves to go head on without fear.
What i like most about this promising lad is that he is such an old school striker which i admire and hard to find this attribute in many strikers these days. Not a flamboyant dribbler just a plain old fashioned no nonsense striker always trying to peel away from defenders inside the box to find openings, being observant. As a striker i feel you should have confidence and belief in your abilities and Harry Kane truly believes in his abilities as a striker and the results are clearly brought out in his performances week in week out. And what makes this guy special for a 21 year old is that he has that ability to be commanding which is truly astonishing for a 21 year old i must say. The whole team looks to him as a saviour and in most games for Tottenham he has turned out to be their saviour.
And Recently he got called up for the national side, as a footballer it's a dream to represent your nation and Harry Kane should feel proud and I'm sure he is ecstatic to be called up. This would be a true test for him because now he has got the whole of England focusing on him not just Tottenham supporters they are going to focus on him like a microscope and try his criticize his every small error. But Harry Kane shouldn't be unfazed by it. His England team mates are certainly all praise for him as they should be. Honestly it's been ages since England has had a good striker after Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney the others who followed were mediocre, Daniel Sturridge looked a good prospect but with injuries seemed to be like the rest, With Kane you can certainly expect constant energy ,ambition and drive upfront. And i believe he is going to do well for the three lions.
But having said that, yes right now people only talk about him. But the million dollar question is,,,Is Harry Kane going to be a consistent performer or is he going to be a one hit wonder like many pop stars we've seen come and gone ?. Only time will tell, but let's not assume what Kane's future is going to be, let's live in the moment and in this very moment he is on fire, he certainly has the Midas touch scoring his maiden professional hatrick this past week against Leicester City. The Worlds' at his feet, the ball in his court, it's how he chooses to utilise and better himself. But from what millions and i have seen is that this guy is certainly going to make his presence felt on a grander scale. Who know's what the footballing world holds for Harry Kane? , but one thing's for sure you can always expect him to pop up with something special.
The moment that made me admire this young talent was during the London derby match against Chelsea were they destroyed the opposition (5 - 3) with Kane scoring a brace but his both goals were special which bought out his shooting ability and also his maturity for big games and most importantly stamping his authority in big games he single handedly made the difference and influenced his teams mood to come out victorious. But at the end of the day he is only human, there are days where he can disappoint you but that shouldn't make you stop believing in him. Who knows, if Harry Kane keeps going like this he may get the golden boot or maybe even win player of the season, at this point anything is possible for Harry Kane. He's been voted Barclay's player of the month twice and I'm sure there is more accolades to follow for this promising footballer.
