We kick things off this weekend with the match between Southampton and Aston Villa. The Saints seem to be running out of steam in the final stages of the season, a couple of months back sitting in fifth and slowly losing their way and now fighting for a place in Europe next season. The Villains on the other hand have been in good touch winning their last two games on the trot. Both teams have something to play for with the Saints needing to win to keep their European aspirations alive and the Villains needing a win to ensure safety. Tim Sherwood would not want to leave it to the last day of the season to ensure his sides safety. Southampton in their last six games have picked up only four points, Villa on the other hand have picked up ten points in their last six matches. The fixture between Sunderland and Leicester City an important game for these sides. A win for either of these sides would see them avoid relegation. It's going to be an evenly contested fixture as both teams have to fight it out to survive. Advantage seems to be on the Black Cats side as they are playing at home. The fixture between Tottenham and Hull city, both these sides need a win for various reasons, Spurs to pursue their European dream next season and The Tigers to stay in the Premier League next season. Tottenham in their last six games have picked up only five points, Hull City on the other hand a bit better than their opponents picking up six points in their last six games. Newcastle will be looking to get three points which would ensure their safety and wouldn't want to let it go till the last day.
